MINISTER of Finance Chris Sinckler will meet with trade unions today in an effort to resolve the ongoing dispute between the Customs & Excise Department and the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA).

Officials from the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) and the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) met yesterday with a group from the Customs Department at the BWU’s Solidarity House headquarters.

Following the two-and-a-half-hour meeting, BWU general secretary Toni Moore said she would speak to the media today following the meeting with Sinckler; while NUPW general secretary Roslyn Smith reported that they had advised their members not to sign the option forms until they updated them after the meeting.
