VENDORS were busy dismantling their stalls and ensuring the space they occupied on Spring Garden Highway over the Crop Over weekend was left spic and span to benefit from the $200 fee they had to pay up front.
Coreen Maynard said it was okay on her second year selling there, but she had to get the place cleaned by 6 p.m. yesterday in order to get a rebate of the $200 environmental fee.
She however lamented that the extended the hours where alcohol could be sold the Saturday night for the Pic-O-De-Crop Finals did not boost any sales.
Another vendor, who did not want to be named, said the “experience” was not on Spring Garden anymore, but along the route.
