CROP OVER 2015 was officially signed off with a grand finale on the Ilaro Court stage Thursday night.
Tuk band music greeted the hundreds of guests arriving at the Prime Minister’s official residence for the much anticipated post-Crop Over Reception which features the biggest acts of Barbados’ best known summer festival. The Royal Barbados Police Force Band helped set the tone for the evening
Acting Governor General Sir Philip Greaves, diplomats, King Of The Crop Grantley Hurley, Queen Of The Crop Judy Cumberbatch, sponsors, volunteers, organisers and a host of other people involved in Crop Over were treated to live performances of the music by the winning artistes. Copious food and drink were also served up under large tents dotted around the expansive flood-lit lawns.
Welcoming guests, an upbeat Prime Minister Freundel Stuart said: “From all I have seen and everything I have heard, this year’s Crop Over Festival was a resounding success.”
