JUSTICE SHERMAN MOORE was hailed for his sterling contribution to the Barbados Defence Force when he retired recently.

Head of the BDF Colonel Alvin Quintyne hosted a luncheon at BDF headquarters, where praise was showered on the man credited with drafting a bill for the Defence Act which established the Barbados Defence Force to which he subsequently became legal adviser.

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart showered praise on Moore whose contribution to the drafting of several other important pieces of legislation was acknowledged, among other outstanding accomplishments.

The former Court of Appeal judge who acted as Chief Justice before the appointment of Sir Marston Gibson, was delighted to have his wife Edna, their son Nicol, their daughter-in-law Arianne and granddaughter Lilian sharing the accolades heaped on him at the luncheon.
