STUDENTS FROM FORMS three to five at the Deighton Griffith Secondary School were exposed to the multiplicity of careers available to them during an all-day showcase in the school hall today.
It is the second consecutive year the showcase was held and organiser Tracey Blades, Head of the Business Studies Department, said the scope was much wider because of feedback from students.
A group of students from Princess Margaret Secondary took up the invitation given to nearby schools, and they too benefitted from the expertise of personnel on hand.
The students got an insight into policing, the fire service, the Barbados Defense Force, courses at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic and the Barbados Vocational Training Board, Â Disaster and Emergency Management, environmental management, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the arts and other fields.
