THAT THE MAN accused of raping his 14-year-old daughter was granted bail has angered the father who recently rescued his three children from an abusive home.

He telephoned the MIDWEEK NATION from his home in England to voice his disappointment over the accused receiving bail from the District “D” Magistrates’ Court last Thursday on a secondary marijuana charge.

Questioning the justice system in Barbados, the 35-year-old Alvin said both the marijuana charge and the rape charge were connected and one should not be tried without the other.

“It was while he [the accused] was at the police station after he was arrested for the [alleged] rape against my daughter that my 13-year-old son told the police that marijuana was planted in the backyard. They took him from the station to his home where they found the marijuana trees,” the upset father of six revealed.
