A DESPERATE Margaret Hurley was sitting in her verandah in Collins, St Peter, yesterday afternoon with a small container.
It held the last few ounces of water she was able to catch last Saturday when the pipe came back on briefly.
“I am here waiting for some water, as I only have a little left back in this can. It is very hard for us up here in Collins. we need help; we need water,” she lamented while waiting for a Barbados Water Authority (BWA) tanker to visit the area.
Hers was one of many complaints from residents in Collins, Boscobel and neighbouring districts in St Peter beset with long-standing water shortage issues.
