With Barbados’ cruise tourism sector continuing to rebound, new research says the Caribbean continues to be the world’s leading cruise destination.

This is stated in the Cruise Lines International Association’s (CLIA) 2024 State of the Cruise Industry report, which also pointed to a growing appetite for cruises.

“The Caribbean, which continues to be the world’s most visited region by cruise, gained almost one million new cruise visitors in 2023 compared to 2019,” the publication says.

Barbados and other Caribbean cruise destinations are being pointed towards the latest cruise trends, which CLIA said included a double digit increase in the number of new cruisers.
