Letters ignored

THE LETTERS HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED to sender, but there has been no response to them.

Two urgent and confidential letters sent to Barbados’ Prime Minister by his Vincentian counterpart earlier this year have yielded no answer.

As a result, Prime Minister of St Vincent Dr Ralph Gonsalves said he had no choice but to disclose some of the contents within the second missive to his colleague Prime Minister Freundel Stuart.  

One of the telling point is the demand that Deloitte Consulting be removed as judicial manager of the collapsed CLICO International Life Insurance Company.

Gonsalves said that the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) had lost confidence in Deloitte to do the very best for policyholders in the sub-region. (ES)
