WELL THE PRESSURE definitely isn’t on Barbados now.

Uruguay are one foot out the Group I door, as Barbados look certain of avoiding relegation after Darian King and Haydn Lewis convincingly won yesterday’s doubles to put the hosts up 2-1 in their Davis Cup tie at the National Tennis Centre.

Not even a couple of rain delays could dampen the hosts’ mood, with the dynamic duo storming to a complete 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 dismantling of Rodrigo Arus and Santiago Maresca in just under two hours of playing time.

About the only real threat came from the heavens, as the start of the match was put back by 46 minutes before rain interrupted play again for another hour during the first set.
