THE QUALITY and quantity of overseas players will provide local players with their sternest test ever in this weekend’s Harrows Barbados Darts Festival.

Now in its 13th year, the festival, which is the premier darts event staged in the Caribbean, has attracted eight former champions in the major tournaments on Saturday and Sunday at Solidarity House.

They will be joined by a host of quality players from the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and other Caribbean countries.

The men’s singles champion for the last two years, Peter Ward, is returning to defend his title. It will be a very special occasion for Ward, who will be celebrating his honeymoon in Barbados with his wife after they were married last weekend.  (PR/EZS)
