NSC women Futsal queens

IN THE END, the National Sports Council (NSC) got the last laugh.

Just months after surrendering their Women’s League title to UWI, the NSC lasses finally turned the tables on their Cave Hill nemeses, beating the Blackbirds to take the inaugural Futsal Fiesta Challenge.

In the final at the Wildey Gym last weekend, NSC blanked UWI for the second time in the competition, holding on for a 2-0 win to cap their unbeaten tournament run.

Tianna Hackett opened the scoring before Kimberley Ellis sealed the much-deserved victory.

The win also made up somewhat for the NSC’s second-place league finish to the Blackbirds.
