Students head out

THEY’RE OFF! The 70 Nigerian students who made Barbados their home for almost a year have flown back to Africa.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, the group arrived at Grantley Adams International Airport to board a chartered flight. Already on board were 60 more Nigerians who had attended classes in Trinidad. The students took pictures of themselves alongside a few locals who had come to see them off.

mrs-ram-speaking-to-police-110915The story of these students, part of the Delta State Youth Empowerment Programme, was a long one fraught with intrigue and accusations of wrongdoing, but they persevered, received their certificates from the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP), and are finally on their way.
