PROMINENT BUSINESSMAN Bjorn Bjerkham now says he has no interest whatsoever in purchasing a 125-acre plantation in St Peter, which until recently was the home of Nature’s Produce, operated by Australian farmer Timothy Walsh.
“I’ve moved on. I have absolutely nothing to do with The Farm plantation,” Bjerkham told the DAILY NATION this week.
His disclosure came just weeks after the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) in October ordered agent Stephen Ward to transfer ownership of the farm to Bjerkham who had reportedly paid a $50 000 deposit on the plantation in 1998.
The CCJ’s decision brought to an end a 17-year legal battle over the property.
But Bjerkham, who reiterated he was no longer interested in purchasing the property, said he had become the victim of much criticism, including social media comments that blamed him for “kicking off” Walsh from his specialised farming business. (TS/YB)
