QUIETLY CONFIDENT, but not cocky.

That was the sentiment from the camp of The Whim as they prepared for today’s final of the Barbados Cricket League (BCL) T20 Competition at Kensington Oval.

The L&N Workshop-sponsored St Peter team, champions of the inaugural competition in 2013, are not only looking to regain the title, but to exact some revenge on their opponents Lucky Horseshoe Welches, after the St Thomas side knocked them out of last year’s quarter-finals.

Whim vice-captain Julian Gibbons told SUNSPORT that while his squad would not be underestimating Welches, they had the goods to deliver another title for their growing number of fans.

“The guys are really confident and are playing well together; they are highly motivated,” he said. (BW)
