SWIFTER JUSTICE is now a reality, assured Chief Justice Sir Marston Gibson, who also said on Wednesday that the court backlog was beginning to clear.

He was speaking at the launch of the Court-Annexed Mediation Pilot Project and the signing of the Mediation Practice Direction, during which a number of people received certificates.

In his brief address in the Atrium Room at the Supreme Court Complex, the Chief Justice said one of his goals was to have a mediation project and though there were difficulties during a long gestation period, funding was eventually secured from a number of sources.

“If you come through these doors seeking justice, we are going to point you in the direction of accelerated justice for the litigants,” he said.  (TKS)
