FLYING FISH & COU COU: Sweet days numbered

THE  WELL GUARDED secrets are out.

A woman from the land of wood and water and with a penchant for high living is gradually being exposed for her dealings, whether traded in English or Spanish.

Reports of birthday parties and other forms of entertaining costing tens of thousands of dollars are not unknown to this woman who does not understand that there is a difference in behaviour in the place where people like a lot of cou cou and flying fish.

So the behaviour exhibited in Stony Hll or Beverly Hills will not go well in Wildey or Warrens.

This pretty belle has not been able to get along with most of her underlings, most of whom have gone through the door, voluntary or otherwise.

But, people have been keeping and copying the notes and have now exposed it all.

So the word is that some people over and above the Caribbean queen have decided to investigate what’s going on. A man from Europe has read and heard it all and now his mouth is opened wide;  the people on the hill are now aware and even the lady from Culloden Road now knows.

Some people are saying to put the entire thing to the test by having a special audit.

Expect more details to be revealed soon.

Black Friday backfires

MANY BAJANS FLOCKED to the United States, particularly, Florida, for last weekend’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday, hoping to cash in on true-true deals.

But, as usual, some Bajans feel they are smarter than anyone else. So these two well known people decided they are avoiding the hassle of the airports, the hotels and the up and down, whether at the popular outlets in Hialeah or Dolphin Mall or even the super stores known for electronics and the place belonging to the Walton family. So, they prepared a list and approached a few friends to bring back this and that. Not to make things too obvious, they even emailed and texted people while they were up there with their requests.

Well, things did not work out, as most people came back laden with their own stuff, given the bag limitations.

One of the women who requested the favour turned up at the airport to greet her courier and collect the things, but when told nothing was forthcoming and “here’s the money in return”, carried on in a most foul manner, surprising everyone in earshot, given her public status.

Tour of leisure

THE TOUR OF DUTY of a leading light is soon coming to an end, and all the talk in Culloden Road by a number of onlookers there is what were the achievements during those years of rest and high life.

In fact, these people were saying that even if one thing was realised which was of benefit to all, then it should be highlighted. These onlookers are saying that there is a real difference between having the best view of Bridgetown and the best view of Mont Blanc.

The feeling is that whoever the silent man decides to send as his emissary to view the Alps and Jura mountains and enjoy the gastronomy or even learn French must do things that will benefit the people, whether they are former residents of Church Village or live on the plush West Coast.
