CORPORATE BARBADOS, give yourself a hand.

That was the message sent by businesswoman and philanthropist Julie Dash yesterday as she hosted the Christmas Wishes Bus Ride charity event for seniors.

Dash said this year’s charity event, which catered to 34 seniors from across the island, was staged exclusively with the support of willing sponsors.

“You cannot say enough about the giving,” she said.

Dozens of sponsors gave generously to ensure the event’s success. The donations ranged from the bus that the seniors travelled in to the food they enjoyed for breakfast and lunch.

Dash explained that some of the seniors had been through some kind of hardship or tragedy.
