White Hill joy

A HUNDRED METRES of asphalt has never felt so good!

And the sight of a Transport Board bus travelling over it was an even more welcome Christmas gift for residents of the beleaguered St Andrew community of White Hill.

Such was the case yesterday evening at 5:30 when the first state-owned bus entered the district that has been devastated by landslides, causing the road to collapse in November 2014.

Residents had been forced to risk traversing the dangerous path to get home or take a lengthy route around the community, but that was now a thing of the past and some White Hall residents could barely contain their joy.
