Bajan tennis players ‘acing it’

THE Barbados Tennis Association (BTA) has been counting its successes for 2015.

Vice president Sandra Osborne said the Davis Cup was the highlight for the association after Barbados managed to maintain their Group 1 status in their historic debut appearance at that level.

“We are very happy about that. This is the first year Barbados would have participated in that group with Equador, Dominican Republic, Colombia and Bolivia. We were really up there with the big guys,” Osborne told NATIONSPORT.

“This was our first year in Group I Davis Cup and it was a great honour for us and at the end of it and we were able to maintain our position in Group 1.”
