Ward wins Oistins tourney

VICTOR “Earth” Ward returned from injury to show that he is a dominant force in Christ Church by winning the inaugural Oistins New Year Shotgun road tennis tournament.

Playing his trademark chops and injections, Ward won the top prize of $900 by defeating Chesterfield “Boy-Boy” Brewster 21-12 in a new competition sponsored by Scotsman Bill Clinton.

Clinton, who has been coming to Barbados with his family for over 30 years, indicated that the Bajan kindred spirit prompted him to sponsor the tournament.
