CITIZEN-LED ACTION could soon be drafted into the fight against widespread illegal dumping. And there will also be a “Wall of Shame”, if a director of the Future Centre Trust has his way.

“The things that we are looking at are the citizenry looking to get together,” he told the Daily Nation.
“I am trying to put together a movement where we are going to name and shame, and we can take private prosecution as a means of holding people accountable. If Government is not going to do it, the citizenry is going to have to take that step of private prosecution against people who are caught illegal dumping,” he said.
