HARD TRACK?

The criticism of the Usain Bolt Sports Complex appears to be more off-track.

Amanda Reifer has dismissed any concerns over the hardness of the surface down at the Lazaretto, with the head of University of the West Indies’ Sports Academy saying the track is perfect for both training and competition after being recommended by none other than Bolt himself.

“We would’ve consulted with Usain Bolt prior to the laying of the track, as the facility bears his name, and he recommended this Regupol track as it is the same track he trains on at our sister campus in Mona,” Reifer revealed.

“Just recently over the holidays British Olympic sprinter Dwain Chambers approached us about using the track for training.
