Dice regains Dominica Calypso Monarch title

ROSEAU – Seven time Calypso Monarch Denison “King Dice” Joseph, walked away with the crown once again after dethroning Gregory “Karessah” Riviere to capture the 2016 title in Carnival celebrations here.

Joseph previously held the crown from 2004 to 2006, in 2008, and then from 2012 to 2014.

Ten artistes took part in the competition including several former winners.

The lone female competitor was Janae “Janae” Jackson.

The carnival activities continue on Monday and end on Tuesday with the traditional street jump-up. (CMC)
