THE TWO bodies which organise the annual inter-school athletics championships at the primary and secondary levels are staging a meet on the same day next month, but at different venues.

On March 9, the semi-finals of the National Primary School’s Athletic Championships (NAPSAC) will be contested at the  Ryan Brathwaite Track of the Usain Bolt Complex at Paradise Park, St Michael.

A few miles away at the National Stadium, the final day of the new  Esther Maynard Zone in the revamped Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC) will also be held.

NAPSAC chairman Wayne Robinson said the dates for the competition were requested way in advance, which make NAPSAC  eligible to continue with the chosen days.
