CLAPHAM sure looked like they could have used those Knockouts.
Jamal “Spanner” Headley led five players in double digits with 20 points and 17 rebounds, as Hilton Barbados Warriors blasted a sloppy Burger King Clapham Bulls side 80-65 in Tuesday’s Co-operators General Insurance Premier League basketball action at the Wildey Gym.
As league openers go, they don’t get much worse than that for Bulls, who sat out the opening knockout tournament and looked every bit of a squad needing court time and constant practice.
And they couldn’t have drawn a worse match to start the season, considering the KO finals-bound Warriors have been clicking on all cylinders early in the piece.
