POLICE STORMED SEVERAL DISTRICTS Thursday night, scooping up drugs, a gun and at least five people.

The five included a 16-year-old from St Michael, who was charged with having a pipe gun and knife.

Special teams made surprise hits in the Bridgetown Division along with the stop and search of several vehicles.

The targeted areas fell within the station area of Hastings, Worthing, The City, Black Rock and District “A”.

Acting Superintendent of Police Grafton Phillips said the operation was part of the Royal Barbados Police Force’s strategy and would be executed throughout the year.

“From time to time, not only in Bridgetown but in the other divisions, we will be carrying out the operation but we won’t say when,” he told the SATURDAY SUN. (AC)
