Cummins trump

IT WAS a bittersweet day for Barbados Pride seamer Miguel Cummins and a painful one for his new-ball partner Kemar Roach.

Cummins captured his 100th first-class wicket en route to taking five for 47 as the Windward Islands Volcanoes were dismissed for 250 on the opening day of the sixth-round match in the Professional Cricket League regional first-class championship at Kensington Oval yesterday.

After falling in his follow-through and being forced to leave the field at the start of his 17th over, Cummins returned in the final session, but with nine wickets down, he was asked to bowl again. He managed just one ball and limped off again, clutching his right hamstring.
