IN COMES ADAM HORNBY. Out goes Matthew Foster-Estwick.

Barbados’ Davis Cup team will be forced to make one slight change heading into next month’s home tie against Guatemala after promising junior Foster-Estwick wasn’t released for duty by Hampton University in Virginia.

Non-playing captain Damien Applewhaite confirmed the news yesterday after the Barbados Tennis Association named Hornby to a four-man squad that features world No. 131 Darian King, Haydn Lewis and Seanon Williams.

“I would not use the word disappointed. Obviously he is our first choice but Adam is a very capable replacement for Matthew and he’s out there doing the same level of preparation as Matthew, so he’ll be ready for the tie,” said Applewhaite. (JM)
