With the rising disquiet caused by illegal dumping recently, a Barbados Water Authority (BWA) official is now sending a strong message to those who engage in the habit.
BWA’s water quality technologist Alex Ifill has cautioned that if the practice is not put to an end soon there is the possibility of water contamination.
However, the flow of potential problems doesn’t stop there. The official said such an occurrence could impact the pockets of Barbadians, causing them to pay four times the amount they pay for water now. (MR)
