THOUSANDS FLOCKED to the beach at Pirates Cove, Bay Street, St Michael, for the 12th annual Digicel Reggae Beach Party yesterday.

The show, the first of four events of the Barbados Reggae Festival, is at a new venue this year and by all accounts patrons were pleased as punch.

The evening started at 5 p.m. with DJ music, then hosts Jamar The Starr and Seth Xcel Bovell kept things lively. Bajan artistes Mole & Lady Essence, as well as Stiffy, did well to set the stage for what was to come later in the night.

Jamaican headliners Spice, Dexta Daps and Akaline were due to take the dancehall party lovers on a musical ride till the close of the show. (TTY)
