MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC are asked to note that Belleplaine Police Station has been relocated.

Officers attached to the station will now operate out of District F Police Station, Eric Holder Complex, Tamarind Hall, Blackmans, St Joseph.

The telephone numbers for the District F Station will be used temporarily.  They are 433-1540, 433-2320 of Police Emergency 211.

Residents of the surrounding communities have been asking authorities not to close the station, which is said to be deteriorating.

They sent a petition to Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave and have vowed to continue to agitate after Sir Elliott said he would not intervene. (PR/SAT)
