IF EVER THERE was a time to be at the Farley Hill National Park, then it would have been Sunday during the 11th Digicel Reggae On The Hill.
Just Richie Spice and the godfather of reggae music, Freddie McGregor, were enough to tantalise the palates of the throngs of reggae lovers in attendance. But add the inimitable Romain Virgo, one of Jamaica’s hottest international artistes Chronixx, the highly favoured Nesbeth and Bajan shining star Amber Orano for nicenesss throughout.
No one could have asked for a better climax to the 2016 Digicel 4G Reggae Festival as Richie Spice proved the gem of them all.
He took to the stage around 7:45 p.m., opening with the masterstroke Earth A Run Red. From there things only got better as the historic venue was blanketed with a sea of flags, mostly those reflecting the Rastafarian colours of red, yellow and green. (SDB Media)
