Table tennis twist

PRESIDENT RAY JACKMAN says he is embarking on some major constitutional changes for the Barbados Table Tennis Association (BTTA) that have not found favour with “factions that have their own agendas”.

The BTTA chief told the WEEKEND NATION the time had come for the administration to bite the bullet with a proper governance structure.

He said there has been some disquiet among members “who are playing politics” but despite that he was keen to take the sport forward.

Jackman, who is now in the closing stages of his second term as chief administrator, said the current constitution of the BTTA had a lot of loopholes, left a lot to be desired and it could no longer be business as usual without a proper framework.  (MK)
