MARK SEALY was the lone Barbadian champion as Trinidadian players swept three of the four titles contested yesterday in the BCQS Jammin International Masters Squash at the Barbados Squash Club, Marine Gardens, yesterday morning.

Sealy prevailed over Flemming Helgeland in straight sets 11-6, 11-1, 11-5 to retain his men’s Over-45 final but Karen Meakins, who was allowed to play against the men, was unable to create history when she lost to Trinidadian Paul deVerteuil  10-12, 11-5, 11-5, 12-10 in the Over-35 final.

John Holley of Trinidad and Tobago defeated Richard Hart 11-5, 11-7, 11-6 in the Over-55 final while in the men’s Over-35 Plate final, Mark Pontifex won the third title for the twin-island republic, trouncing Barbadian Don Benn 11-8, 11-9. (EZS)
