After delays caused by internal dissension, the Barbados Table Tennis Association Inc. is ready to launch the governance structure of its new constitution.

The first organisational meeting of the Barbados Table Tennis Association Inc. is set for Saturday at the Table Tennis Centre, Nursery Drive, starting at 6 p.m.

The process, which was estimated to take two months, started at the end of January when an interim committee was installed to lead the revision of the constitution and put measures in place to ensure the legality of the BTTA. The BTTA was incorporated in 2012 but was operating without all the necessary systems in place.

“The major challenges were the hidden personal agendas held by some members who tried to stall the process and held influence over other members,” manager of the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) Glyne Clarke told the DAILY NATION.
