THE BARBADOS WORKERS’ UNION is seeking legal advice on some aspects of last week’s ruling by the Employment Rights Tribunal, which went against the National Conservation Commission (NCC).
General secretary Toni Moore said there are some questions relating to the Employment Rights Act, which they have referred to the union’s legal counsel.
“We are aware that as it relates to the Employment Rights Act that the decision of the Employment Rights Tribunal is final. however, there can be appeals raised on questions of law. So right now with our legal counsel we’re going through the matter just to verify that there are no such questions of law, which we would need to raise,” she stated. (YB)
