ACCUSATIONS OF NEPOTISM and charges of unfairness have been levelled against the management of the National Housing Corporation (NHC) by the National Union of Public Workers.
But Minister of Housing Denis Kellman has hit back, saying the best candidate from the interview process was appointed and hinted that her last name was just coincidental.
Yesterday, just after 9:30 a.m. scores of NHC workers walked off their jobs in protest over the appointment of a new human resources manager.
The appointment left Paula Blackman, the woman who has been acting in the position for more than a year, in the cold.
However, Kellman declared that Blackman had been “given a handsome package for acting”. (HLE)
