INTENSE DRIVERS’ rivalry will resume with the return of the Mayers brothers in the SM2 class for the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) Summer Nights Rally on Saturday starting at 2 p.m.
Roger will be partnered with Sean Corbin in the WR Starlet while Barry will team up with Ben Norris in the Ford Fiesta.
The race for the two-wheel drive honours is also heating up as BRC points leader Josh Read, driving the Toyota Starlet in the company of Mark Jordan, is also down to face the starter in SM2.
Preparations are at an advanced stage for the day/night event and Barry Mayers said he is looking forward for a better result as the challenges he had encountered with the Fiesta in Sol Rally Barbados are now a thing of the past. (TT)
