Police investigating shooting

Police are continuing their investigations into the shooting incident which occurred around 11:35 p.m., on Friday, October 20, at Silver Hill, Christ Church.

The incident has claimed the life of Andrew Prescod, 34, of Welches, Oistins, Christ Church.

During this incident, two females, ages 21 and 29 received gunshot injuries, whilst a motor vehicle was damaged.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased, and the two females, along with other persons, were in the area liming, when several gunshots were heard coming from the opposite side of the road. As a result, Prescod received a gunshot to the head, whilst the 21-year-old female was shot in her right knee, and the 29-year-old female was grazed on her chin by a bullet.

Prescod and the 21-year-old female were taken to the QEH by ambulance for medical attention.

Prescod succumbed to his injuries around 5:20 p.m., today.
