Battened down

MEMBERSĀ  OF THE FISHING community took swift action yesterday to protect their boats from the anticipated bad weather by hauling them into the protected waters of the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex off the Princess Alice Highway and within the inner basin of the Careenage.

When a MIDWEEK NATION team visited the two sites in The City, among those helping their colleagues was Clement Knight of Redman Village, St Thomas.

He said when the threat of a storm or hurricane loomed it was all hands on deck.

Pastor Larry Thomas, another boat owner, said it was natural for him to help others since he know what a significantĀ  financial impact a destroyed or damaged boat could have on the operator. (GE)
