THE BACKLASH against those businesses which opened during the passage of Tropical Storm Matthew continues.
Yesterday, the head of the Barbados Workers’ Union, General Secretary Toni Moore, added her voice to those condemning owner of Carlton and Emerald City supermarkets Andrew Bynoe, the management of Lemongrass in Limegrove Lifestyle Centre and a popular fast food chain for opening during the passage of Tropical Storm Matthew.
Moore was speaking at the BWU’s 75th anniversary symposium for senior students of secondary schools at Solidarity House yesterday.
She accused some businesses of focusing solely on their bottom line. (HLE)
