AOne sorry for opening

SORRY!

Faced with a social media backlash from opening its doors for business last week during the passage of Tropical Storm Matthew, another local business has apologised for its actions.

And the country’s employers’ union strongly believes the apology should now put the matter to bed.

Popular chain AOne Supermarkets placed a half-page ad in today’s edition of the SUNDAY SUN, accepting responsibility for opening Carlton Supermarket in Black Rock, St Michael, and Emerald City at Six Roads, St Philip, last Wednesday while the country was in the midst of a national shutdown, ordered by the Department of Emergency Management (DEM).  (BA)
