MINISTER OF HOUSING Denis Kellman is calling on teachers and parents not to allow laws to create a divide between them.
The Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Member of Parliament said that he had a problem with the Education Act, as it served as a tool of division.
Kellman said there were children who respected their teachers more than they did their parents, but this should not cause parents to feel left out.
“There is no separation between the parents and the teachers, and this is my problem with the Education Act of Barbados, because they have created a separation between the parents and the teacher,” he said. (TG)
