Director of PAHO Dr Carissa Etienne spoke glowingly of local facilities after a tour of the David Thompson Health and Social Services Complex in St John.
“The David Thompson Polyclinic is a very important multi-service clinic and it is the way that we see health development moving – towards building more holistic multi-purpose complexes,” she said. “Persons do not have to go to several places to get service. I really want to congratulate the Government on putting together this service.”
Moreover, she underscored the necessity of investing in and delivering quality primary health care. (MR)
