THE CHAIRMAN OF LIAT is far from happy with the recent level of performance delivered to customers.

Dr Jean Holder indicated his regret during a media conference at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre today, which came on the heels of a quarterly meeting of majority shareholder governments.

However, he said moves were being made to correct the situation, including the provision of further training to front desk staff.

“We are quite aware of the difficulties we face and we are not happy with our customer performance. We are not happy with how we’ve served the public but we are working at it and working at it harder than ever and we promise to do better,” Dr Holder said.

Also at the media conference were Barbados’ Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, St Vincent and the Grenadines leader Dr Ralph Gonsalves, Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Aviation Sir Robin Yearwood, Barbados’ Tourism Minister Richard Sealy and acting LIAT CEO Julie Reifer-Jones. (WILLCOMM)
