THE VOICE of local singer Clarence Thompson has fallen silent.

Reports are that 71 year-old, known for many beautifully rendered ballads, was found dead in his Friend Ship Terrace, Lodge Hill, St Michael, home this evening by his Home Help.

Sources said when the Home Help went to check on Thompson she could not access the house and requested assistance from his brother Michael.

Thompson’s body was discovered in the home.

In addition to his fine singing, Thompson was also a dynamic performer. He sang with Lunar-7, the Organisation, Blue Rhythm Combo and The Opels. (JS)
