CONTRADICTORY REPORTS are now emerging about the South Coast Sewage Treatment Plant.

While the Barbados Water Authority has said a faulty pump was responsible for leaked sewage and had since been fixed, Opposition Leader Mia Mottley is alleging that the plant has not worked for almost three years.

Mottley, speaking at a mass political meeting of the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) at Top Rock, Christ Church, said the issue posed a serious threat to the well-being and health of citizens as well as the vital tourism industry, and could not be allowed to continue unfettered. (WILLCOMM)
