A DOUBLE-DIGIT improvement in Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) examinations was recorded by the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) School.
In delivering the good news, retiring principal Cecil Cummins told those gathered at the speech day and prize giving Ceremony on Tuesday that in the last ten years the school had recorded 70 per cent passes at CXC level, and this year realised 82 per cent passes in Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams, having set a target of 80 per cent.
Cummins said the students in the primary school continued to do well and provide the secondary school with students who kept up the outstanding work.
“This is not by accident. At the SDA we believe that the church and the home and the school should hold hands together in producing worthwhile citizens,” he said. (LK)
