ROSEAU – Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit yesterday said that his Dominica Labour Party (DLP) administration would not be removed from office unless through the ballot box.

His comments came as he condemned the violence that erupted here on Tuesday night as police used tear-gas to disperse opposition supporters demanding his resignation.

Skerrit, who had earlier toured some of the businesses looted or set on fire by the protesters, said that his silence should never be regarded as a sign of weakness.

He said the riot, which had been organised “clearly by the United Workers’ Party” and its associates, had resulted in millions of dollars in losses. (CMC)
